Inauguration of Indian – Baltic Business Chamber
On the 19th of January Indian Business delegation started a visit in Lithuania. The visit was organised on the initiative of Mrs. Gabija Mikalaiskienė, Head of Vilnius Branch, College of Social Sciences, and in cooperation with Lithuanian and Indian embassies. The aim of mission was to promote and develop economic cooperation between Lithuania and India. Indian entrepreneurs had opportunity to meet Lithuanian representatives of public and private sectors. Also there was agreed to develop cooperation in education and science sphere and promote student exchange.
In order to strengthen bilateral cooperation and investments, on the 19th of January in Vilnius there was inaugurated Indian – Baltic Business Chamber. The Chamber was welcomed by India’s Ambassador to Lithuania Deepak Vohra and Lithuania‘s Ambassador to India Petras Šimeliūnas. In the inauguration participated representatives of Indian business companies „Sharon International“, „Impal Electro Systems“, „Automobiles INC“, „Energy Infratech“ and „Wooil Development“. Also there were high representatives from Foreign Affairs Ministry of Lithuania and other institutions of public and private sector.
On 20th and 21st of January Indian Business delegation had meetings in Kaunas and Klaipėda.
