The mobility project "Acquirement of New Knowledge and Skills in the Sphere of Appliance of European Accounting Standards" is aimed at satisfying the need of future accountant specialists for new professional competencies that appeared after integration of Lithuania to the EU and helping Lithuanian companies to implement International Accounting Standards in their work.
College of Social Sciences University of Applied Sciences is the initiator of this Leonardo da Vinci mobility project and collaborate with 6 other colleges of Lithuania.
Students of these colleges studying finance and financial accounting have to do a 14-week internship in a European company that has already implemented international accounting standards in their work. During this period students have to be introduced to the new accounting principles, to do practical tasks, improve their linguistic and team working skills.
12 students will go to Plymouth, Great Britain and 4 to Cosenza, Italy.
